Brighton's Lamptey Ruled Out for Season with Hamstring Surgery
Defender Suffered Setback After Initial Recovery
Injury Timeline
WEB Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey will miss the remainder of the Premier League season after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury and requiring surgery.
Manager Graham Potter confirmed the news on Thursday, stating that Lamptey had experienced a "little setback" and would undergo surgery shortly.
Lamptey initially returned to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a muscle injury, but the setback has ruled him out of the remaining games of the season.
There is still no indication of when Lamptey, 22, will return from the knee injury that forced him off the field just 16 minutes into Brighton's 4-0 home win over Leeds United last month.
